Brought this coat as a Christmas gift for my father-in-law. The fit and the color and great and most important of all the coat keeps him super warm which was the primary reason I purchased it.

A popular survival site recommended this coat. I absolutely can not. If you're counting on this for survival, you're dead! First, it is not 100% goose down, instead has 20% "feathers," which have much less loft--a requirement for insulation against the cold. This is one indication that it is cheaply made.Worse yet, despite their claims that it is "waterproof", they also warn to not wear it in the rain. Nice, sturdy, warm and well made in all aspects. Not too bulky for down. Not very light weight in the hand, but distributes well when on. I replaced a very heavy leather coat with this and it is considerably lighter - though it's not like some other light downs.

So I purchased this coat based on my waist and arm size. My arm size is 33.5-35 inches and my waist size is 32-34 inches. The medium fits perfectly. This is a very nice winter coat. I actually purchased it for myself, as most ladies jackets are too snug across the chest for me. It is very warm, and water resistant. I purchased it larger than normal, because I also like to be able to wear sweaters or hoodies under my coat when I am going to be outside for long periods of time, and this coat goes over them nicely. Packs well for travel as well. I would recommend it!

I ordered the large in this coat. I am 5'10", 175 and usually take large. It is roomy, but living in MN one layer is never enough so I have extra room inside. But it's not so large I can't wear it with a shirt alone. It seems well made, the fabric is sturdy, and it is warm! This a good weight down coat. Not quite as thick as I would want but still very warm so far, down to the 20s. Needed a cinch at the waist rather than the bottom hem for a snug fit. The design seem very durable, especially the shell is tougher than most puffy coats made now, and the toggle gives it a naval look. Runs a little larger than Revain sizing suggests. A good coat for the price.

My perfect jacket. Warm enough for any cold in mid atlantic. Modern materials with classic British toggles. Friends compliment me on it. Hand warmer pockets are felt lined for extra warmth. Reccomend!

I initially purchased this product for my son, in college in New Hampshire. I had thought a larger size would allow him to layer underneath. But it was far too large. I ordered him a size down, and am keeping the XL for myself. I like the style, the design and fit on me. But wish there was another way to exchange for another size, instead of having to have the first coat sent to me to send it back to you, before it could be credited.

For the price the coat is plenty warm so far in 30 degree weather with windy conditions. I have yet to wear it sub 30 but in 30 degree weather with nothing but a T-shirt and this coat zipped up 3/4 of the way I was sweating after a short walk. Lost weight so I just bought my 2nd one in smaller size. Very nice coat, keeping warm in Alaska. First one is still in great condition after several years. Glad I was able to get it again! 5' 6" 180 lbs got a Large and it fits well. Sleeves a tiny bit long, but no complaints at all.

I only purchased this coat to wear until my actual winter coat was out of the cleaners. I think it’s warm enough for 30 degree temperatures but I wouldn’t chance walking around too long in lower temps wearing it. Great jacket. I do wish the blue was a little darker, my coat arrived much lighter than what is depicted in the advertisement.
