Won't stay stuck :(

Vise tools are used to indicate quality tools. I bought this Irwin needle point vise because I needed a tool I could rely on to make repairs easier .NOT with this "vise!" Every time I tighten it and move my hand to tighten or loosen something, the tool is released. No matter how hard I turn the mechanism, it loosens :( So disappointed!
