Review on Samsung Genuine DA29-00003G Refrigerator Water Filter - Reliable 1 Pack (Packaging may vary) by Matthew Bell

This should be a class action; I have the same filter problem with my Samsung RFG237AARS/XAA. My refrigerator cost $2200. I had no problems replacing Samsung BRAND water filters until last week. I was confused when I found that I couldn't install and fix the new filter, but after carefully examining the old and new filters, I found that Samsung changed the design of the filter a bit. On February 23rd, when I reported the issue, a representative from Samsung informed me that I would need a filter housing modification and when I asked them to confirm that Samsung would pay for it since it was a Samsung redesign that caused the problem. When I spoke to the company doing the repair today, I was told that Samsung is NOT paying for it. I've been on the phone with various people at Samsung for over an hour and they actually expect the customer to pay for mods to fit the redesigned filters. Absurd! When automakers have a problem with a part they design, they call back the problem and fix it for the customer at no cost.
