UPDATE with FIX! : I bought another one from Lowes today while waiting for two replacements from Revain. It didn't work either! So I decided to cut off the third "tooth" as my current filter that I took out showed that tooth had been deformed by the force required to slide it into the refrigerator's receiver. I thought it wasn't necessary and it isn't. Wow, now it fits. Wow, I'm thirsty! Original: I keep buying this particular item over and over again. Last time I bought 2 filters and none fit.

I've bought the same filter 5 times (at least that's what Revane helpfully told me). My problem seems to be the opposite of most people's. I usually get a 3 tooth filter option. I got the 2 tooth option on my last purchase. With the two-pronged version, the horizontal part is significantly thicker, so the filter cannot be pushed all the way into the housing, let alone rotated.
