I love Southern Illinois and these ties have been used on my large breed puppies when they need to rest or with grooming. They have survived the extreme cold/heat in our regions and can also be used in winter. My pups have chewed through every tie I've ever had in under five minutes every time. My husband has severe separation anxiety and his activity level is a 9/10. He doesn't like standing still/being tethered. That's right, I don't hang out for long and train regularly. but my puppies kept trying this connection to no avail. The plastic coating indicates chewing attempts. but the wire (though slightly bare) did not fray at all. The opaque black element did not come off completely in any area either. Just punch holes.
