Bacter AE is a great product and comes highly recommended by many experienced shrimp owners. Do a product search on YouTube to see first-hand results. I've been using it in a low tech red cherry/amano shrimp tank for a little over a month with great results. The shrimp like to eat it alone and I have noticed that more biofilm forms on my sponge filter and catappa leaves which is an important food source for my cherry shrimp, especially the juveniles. Because the grains are so small, they disperse well, which is good as otherwise Amano shrimp easily dominate and intimidate my cherry shrimp of larger food. I would recommend using 1/4 of the manufacturer's recommendation every other day and then gradually increasing the dosage until you reach the optimal level depending on your bioburden. I always tend to make conservative feeding mistakes because I like stable and clean water parameters. Don't worry too much about the price. It looks like a tiny container but it lasts a long time, it's a quality product and you really can't go wrong with this unless you overfeed a lot. The investment is worth it.
