Letters printed on thin paper cannot be erased.
It is almost impossible to remove a letter from a thin paper base. Typically, labels are glued to a fairly strong plastic base, so the letters come off without much effort. Here you need to spend a lot of time to carefully peel off the letters without tearing off the paper base. This is a very poor quality product.
