There is only one small nuance - you can hear a slight rustle of the focus motors (in quiet scenes) and unfortunately it gets on the recordings . BUT the sound is much quieter than that of the Sigma 30mm f / 1.4, that's a fact! Something like a quiet rustle and a sharp chirp. I think if you make the focus speed settings softer in the camera, this will remove sharp focus jerks and, as a result, the noise of the motors will also be less. And if you use an external voice recorder, then this problem disappears automatically! For the money Sigma 16mm and 30mm f/1.4 are the BEST lenses for Sony E APS-C! I would also like to add optical stabilization to them and these lenses would be in the kit for every owner of cropped Sony ! PS Do not talk about the quality and cost of manual optics. It doesn't even make sense to compare! Everything here is for an amateur. My IMHO is to buy a camera with one of the best autofocus (in each of its price categories) and then use it with manual optics, I don’t see the point. Only for a very narrow number of specific tasks and types of shooting! In everyday life and in 95% of cases, autofocus will still be used! And here comes into force the best autofocus and the rate of fire of the camera, which significantly increases the number of successful shots and material!
