Review on Snappy Plug Cutter 1 4 by Chris Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well done. Made in the USA.

The knife seemed sharp to me immediately. Runout was excellent, which wasn't always the case with hex shank tools. I cut the plugs from a 1/4 thick ABS/PVC blend to make repairing damage and misaligned holes in the plastic parts easier. I make car bodies out of plastic. I've noticed many complaints about the sharpness of the other cork cutting tools listed at Revain. Looking at close-ups of the cutters, it became clear that most of them needed additional honing to work, or never got a chance to get the job done due to such poor quality. I would use this axiom when considering a cork cutter: if it's a photo, it'll get boring right away. The cut edges must be clean and have the same height and proportions. If it looks poorly sharpened in the picture, imagine going unnoticed.
