I installed this on a large Dodge ProMaster van with really bad blind spots just to use when backing out of a parking space at a mall or store park out. . Many pedestrians these days are so busy texting as they walk through parking lots that I wanted to somehow get them to look up when I'm backing up. This alarm is perfect for my needs but if you want a horn for use on a huge front end loader used in a quarry you may need something else. because I placed mine on the bottom of the rear bumper where water can spray from puddles on the road.
