It took a few minutes in bright sunlight, but the photochromic lenses turned a dark gray. They came back to clean up a few minutes after I went in. Bifocal lenses in the shape of a semi-circle with a flat top are better for general reading, but they're still good for close-up viewing, provided you hold the object low in relation to your face. You are cozy. The floral pattern is muted, which I like. The silicone ear cups are difficult to put on, but help keep them in place when you lean forward. Good coverage and map from the manufacturer.
