First of all I would like to acknowledge the reasonable price of this lamp as it is really good value for money. However, the low price also has a downside. This lamp is beautiful, very bright and eye-catching, but the base of the lamp looks very cheap. The same goes for the cable, it's very flimsy and cheap. When it's on a high shelf where you can't see or inspect the base you'll think it's a real high-end neon sign, but when you get close enough to inspect it the cheapness is striking. Would be nice in a child's room or just as a general decoration. I put mine on a tall bookshelf and it looks amazing. Not the best gift, although the box is generic and shows a lamp that is not the one you actually receive.
