Bought in 2022. Sold it pretty soon. ✎ My assessment is conditional. a lot depends on what quality you are willing to pay 18-20 kilo for. ✎ bought after 18-55. waited a month to buy in a store for 18,000. sold after 6 months. filmed for a couple of weeks. ✎ I have read many comments here. and decided to buy. It happens when you want to buy something new. BUT! I did not ask myself: why do I need 15-85? the most important difference from the whale is a wider angle. ask yourself: do you need 15mm? shooting a group of people in an apartment is illogical (people flatten out at the edges), on the street, if you don’t shoot at 18mm, then you won’t be at 15mm either. 15mm on a crop was cool to shoot narrow streets in Lisbon: and then, 2-3 frames. otherwise boring! portraits at 85mm? yes, but isn't it better to buy a fix 85 / 1.8 for 11 pieces. yes, versatility, but used 18-55 can be found for 1500 on ebay. ✎ Why am I writing this review? it’s more like advice to think about: what exactly is it better than a whale? yes, the footage is sharper, but is it worth the 20 grand? no one argues that he is sharper than a whale. but I print 15x10cm, not A3. color rendering? a slightly more juicy picture, but personally I want to shoot in raw and do color correction in post-processing. ✎ bottom line: only a matter of money. if there are 20 pieces, then do not worry and change the whale for this glass. but don't expect miracles. photo as photo. I would buy such a lens for 8000. I do not want to give 18000. ✎ I personally sold and bought four m42 manual lenses for 7000 and am experimenting. ☞ This is just my opinion, I just raised the issue of cost savings. ☞ TOP TIP: don't listen to anyone ;)
