This lamp was purchased to fit over my curved monitor for my home office work. I wasn't expecting the lamp to be that heavy, but it should be part of the design so that it stays in place and doesn't move when placed over the screen. The light provides extra light and helps eliminate glare from other lights or windows behind me. It also provides lighting for my keyboard and most of my desk. When I use my webcam and turn on this light I see an improvement in lighting from the top of my chest just below my shoulders to the top of the table. This light comes professionally packaged with all instruction cards and cables in its own slim paper box with silver foil badges and lettering. To work with this light, I have to press the right side of the light bar and just hold the left side with my finger to keep it in place. The same power button is a color picker. Hold the button and then use the brightness wheel to adjust the amount of light. My kids loved the cute cartoon animal stickers that were included in the instruction card. Finally, the included USB hub has 4 ports. with a light blue stripe at the top letting me know it's on or connected to a powered on PC. When I use this hub to turn the light on and off, the light doesn't remember it was on. I just have to press the power button again after turning off the computer/monitor.
