Projector mount in skoolie conversion!

Works great for our project! My wife and I are converting a school bus into a home and we’re using this to mount our Apeman projector above the bed for awesome movie nights! It holds firmly enough that we don’t have to worry about it falling but it’s easy enough to move outside whenever we want. With the short-throw projector and the curve of the ceiling we’re able to mount a 70” screen for movie nights and easily put it all away when we want a more open view.

Fantastic grip on steel - I-beams, cabinets, ducts - almost any angle. Love it for my LED lights.

I use this to stick a 4x6 LED panel on metal surfaces for use as a highlight or special effects. No problem handling a sports camera (GoPro etc.) or small lights. It's also non-scratching, so you can stick it on painted surfaces or vehicles. The magnet has a 1/4-20 threaded post. The ball head is one of the better mini-heads I've seen and also has a 1/4-20 post and threaded base.

Pros

Great as a secure temporary mount for a Wyze camera.

May lose magnetic strength over time and with prolonged use

Magnetic! cool! Ball Head.hmmm

I honestly only trust something like a Gopro on this gizmo! it just doesn't sit well to knowing I have a 2000 Camera and Lens setup hanging on a Magnet. The magnet is SUPER strong tho So you should be fine.The actually ball head is not good quality compared to others. The locking mechanism does not work well Bigger soft box Lights will not work well.3 stars! good Magnet but the ball head is not great.

Good magnet, Poor ball head

The ball head keeps coming loose. It is unable to hold about 100 grams for a day without tightening. As the threads above and below the ball head are standard, I was able to replace this with a higher-quality ball head previously purchased.The magnetic base is made up of 6 smaller magnets. This works well for sheet metal but not for round or welded-wire surfaces. The rubber has keep it from scratching the paint. Decent for the cost.

Decent value for the money.I really purchased this for the magnet and wasn’t expecting much from the ball head.The ball head is ok and will work in a pinch but I’m happier and more impressed by magnet.

Excellent Magnetic Holder

I was able to use the Base of this Magnetic Holder with the 2 mm "Male" so I could attached to my Camera. It works great as a Tripod base.

The magnet is not strong!

The magnet is not string at all. Needed unit to hold a Mevo camera on a pole for softball. The magnet was not string enough to hold the camera.

Pros

I use this with my Sony video camera and its a great combo. It has a strong magnet.

Simple and woks well for basic use

I needed a way to mount a camera yet still have it be slightly adjustable on occasion, this serves my need perfectly. The magnet is very strong on flat steel. When locking the rotation and tilt the camera can still be moved with little effort so this probably wouldn't work well on an object with any amount of vibration.
