You get a mini ball head and a magnetic base.The mini ball head is small and maybe made of aluminum, has a nice dial to adjust the swivel.Thread onto your gear and turn the dial to tighten down.Standard 1/4" thread on the base and the ball head.Magnetic base is covered in rubber to prevent scratching between the magnet and the metal surface your attaching too.Ball head has a rubber gripped pad to also prevent you from scratching your gear.This is one of those things you don't think you need until you try it.All of the odd places that I can now attach my gear:Safe, file cabinet, fridge, metal door, tool chest, car fender.The gear I'm using with this:LED lights, dslr, mirrorless camera, RBG ring light.So far my favorite thing is my RGB ring light, no more running a chord across the room!I have a remote for this so changing colors is a breeze.And this is very compact while holding most of my gear.My cameras come in at 2 pounds, tried with a 6 pound camera,but the swivel kind of gives up, the magnet did hold.Just use a tripod for any heavy cameras.Very satisfied with this magnetic base mini ball head.A great piece of gear to add to my daily life.Hope this helps.
