Good magnet, Poor ball head
The ball head keeps coming loose. It is unable to hold about 100 grams for a day without tightening. As the threads above and below the ball head are standard, I was able to replace this with a higher-quality ball head previously purchased.The magnetic base is made up of 6 smaller magnets. This works well for sheet metal but not for round or welded-wire surfaces. The rubber has keep it from scratching the paint. I have been happy with the strength and it has not fallen off with light wind and vibration.Magnet strength is a compromise, as more pull will be harder to store and position. I am happy with this strength for non-automotive applications. In high wind, I would want more strength.
