I spent quite a bit of time searching around for bowls that were sturdy and not too large or too small. Originally, I was looking at plastic bowls, but most were too large or were said by other buyers to be flimsy in construction. I needed a bowl that would replace 28 oz. paper bowls I use for breakfast, specifically for Greek yogurt with fresh fruit. When I read the reviews of these bowls they seemed to be exactly what I was looking for and turned out to be just that. They are very sturdy, easy to wash and my food does not disappear in them as it might with a larger bowl. I have not put them in the microwave or used them with any greasy or oily food, so I cannot speak to those issues.
