I have Mac OS X 10.11.6 and this USB modem works fine. I didn't have to install any drivers. I started Z-Term, opened the device usb12345671, set the baud rate to 57600 and everything works. ---------------+: Treble BBS (BOT Zapper) :: Dan Fitzgerald from Future World II :+---------------- - ----------------------+To enable Caller ID, send the command "AT+VCID=1". You will then get something like this: RINGDATE=0221TIME=0753NMBR=8005551212NAME=SCHMOE JOEDThis is what the system info says: USB Modem: Product ID: 0x1340 Vendor ID: 0x0572 (Conexant Systems, Inc.) Version: 1.00 Serial number: 12345678 Speed: Up to 12 Mbit/s Manufacturer: Conexant Location ID: 0x24340000 / 6 Available current (mA): 1000 Current requirement (mA): 100 Additional operating current (mA): 0 I was also able to send a fax with this modem. Apparently this feature was removed in OS X 10.12. However, if your printer supports faxing, you can send faxes from your Mac through the printer. If you're still using 10.11, just open System Preferences, Printers and Scanners and click + to add the modem as a fax. Now you can choose a fax modem as your device every time you print. You can sign up for a free fax account at efax.com to try it out if you need to.
