My wife is a chronic crayon drawing fanatic. She loves this sharpener. It takes a long time. What could be nicer for my hobby wife than to buy her favorite colored pencil sharpener several times? She is worth it. She used to use a battery-powered sharpener that chewed up pencils too quickly and didn't last as long as this simple plastic version of Bostitch's manual sharpener. The yellow knob lets you adjust sharpness or dullness, and the bin collects the shavings so she doesn't have to run to the trash can every time she sharpens her pencils. Before I retired, I was an elementary school teacher. It's better than what I gave my students in class and at a reasonable price. I would recommend them to current class teachers. No mess. No trouble.
