Not rustproof, they are magnetic. Not to mention what they will do with your hands.
I really didn't like her. I had to trim them almost in half to fit, but they will work. First, they're magnetic, which means they're zinc plated, not stainless steel. It turned out to be exactly the same as the one I bought locally which listed it as galvanized but didn't mention any stainless steel. Second, they are made of fairly sharp square wire.
