Review on Samsung Galaxy S9 G965F (International Version) by Anastazja Socha ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

The reason for the purchase is the unstable operation of my already former LG G5. I watched the Samsung for a very long time, and with the release of the nine, I decided to buy a plus model. I’ll say for sure that I didn’t have a wow effect, because before buying I thoroughly studied the available information and morally wanted to get a normally working mobile phone with a margin of several years, and not an expensive toy. Now I'm glad that my torment with randomly disappearing connection is in the past. I am satisfied with the mobile phone and put 5 stars even despite the shortcomings. Firstly, because every product has them, and, secondly, because these problems are not fundamental. For filming, I have a Nokia 808, but you can wipe the back panel with a cloth, your hands won’t fall off. The overall level of usability is very high, to which some manufacturers are still quite far away. Oh yes, I almost forgot. The battery is good when new. The photo just shows that 35% is left after a full day of work, started at 7 in the morning. It is hardly enough for 2 days with active use, but for a day it will be enough for sure, if you do not play, but use it for its intended purpose - to be in touch in any way. Thank you for your attention.

Pros
  • I liked the appearance since the presentation of the S8, here is also a fingerprint scanner in its rightful place. It lies confidently in the hand, does not want to slip and fall out of the hands. The screen leaves only positive sensations. Before that, I used Lumiya 1520, and then Lg G5, in terms of quality and emotions it resembles Lumiya rather than "ji 5". So far, only pluses. The slightly elongated shape makes reading a very comfortable process. Samsung pay and support for most nfc cards, including Troika with the ability to directly record tickets. The sound, of course, is an order of magnitude better than the devices I mentioned, but I have no way to compare it with modern devices. The performance margin is quite impressive, although the pace of development is quite rapid. Edge apps are incredibly easy to use, as are windowed and split screen modes. There have never been false clicks, since there is a special setting in the settings for this purpose. When using the camera, I was impressed by the speed of focusing and processing both frames and video. Another important advantage is wireless charging. From the experience of owning a lumia 1520, I know that this thing only has advantages in the form of saving the life of the USB connector.
Cons
  • What do I not like about this device? Back panel glass. It's just a collection of prints. I don’t know if it will be visible in the photo, but in the original frame, when approaching, a whole bunch of fingers are visible. Hence the direct consequence - the edge of the camera, made in the form of a sharp protrusion, will collect all these traces of fat and dust, as they collect gaps in the case of cheap mobile phones. Another disadvantage I would call the position of the lock key. It will not cause problems for those who are used to using the phone with their right hand. Although I'm not left-handed, I'm used to holding a mobile phone with my left hand. And here it is already very inconvenient to lock / unlock the device. Next comes the underpowered flash. Yes, the manufacturer has focused on the aperture, but personally I have not yet been able to achieve the declared difference. In this regard, insufficient flash is an obstacle to shooting in low light. In general, the manufacturer's emphasis on the camera is done for purely marketing purposes. To be honest, the miracle did not happen. And this happened for two reasons (I will not drag in pro- and semi-pro fotiki). First - you need to get used to the device and its features better, then the pictures will be better. The second is my second Nokia 808 PureView. Yes, this dinosaur still takes great pictures both day and night. All thanks to a giant (by the standards of mobile phones) matrix and xenon flash (plus straight arms, of course). The price, of course. But the manufacturer is not particularly to blame, because about 1000 USD is quite a normal price for any modern flagship. The point here is with you and me.
