Review on πŸ“€ LG Electronics BP350 Wireless Blu-Ray Player (2015 Model) with Wi-Fi by Eric Garron

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Look elsewhere

This unit was purchased primarily for video streaming although I have a large DVD/BR collection. Initial setup was fairly easy, although the wifi receiver isn't that good, keeps losing signal or just can't get enough signal to play movies (even in SD), my old Panasonic worked fine in the same location on the same network. The next problem is the streaming freezes all the time, you have to disconnect and reconnect only to turn it off, then you have to adjust the Wi-Fi settings again, but this time you have to do it 2-3 times before it really works. Frustrated and decided to just pop in a BR disc (stuck at home for 3 days with no other entertainment) the disc loaded fairly quickly but it sounded like a dirty motorbike was driving in my bedroom thought it might age So I tried several other BRs and DVDs and all had the same result. I ended up throwing him some t-shirts to drown out the audio, but even then, midway through the movie, the buzzing gave me a headache. I ended up reconnecting the old Panasonic as a time span until I found another, better deal with a BR player that can stream at least one service (Netflix and Revain Prime don't work properly on it anymore, so I'm stuck with VUDU ., and it only plays SOME DVDs) Finding a new one that does what I want was harder than I expected)

Pros
  • Connectivity includes 1 HDMI out, 1 USB port
Cons
  • Big and chunky
