After returning 2 other brands that arrived at DOA I decided to try these even though there is only 110v in the US. 110v was not good. When it arrived I was expecting a big disappointment, especially given its small size and light weight. I haven't used it often but was amazed at how well it works. The power controller shows 160, but I had to reduce it to around 70, otherwise the steel would melt. This was for 1/2" rebar and some 1/4" plates. It doesn't hurt when the rod gets stuck in the weld and the device stays cold even in continuous use. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 not because of performance but because I don't know how long it will last. can last.
