I am very happy with this sketchbook. It's a lot stronger than I expected. Cold-pressed paper, about 90 pounds, but surprisingly strong. I write with icing. Each of the images I've made so far is made up of multiple layers, first wet on wet and then wet on dry. In some places I'd say it's even 9 or 10. The paper can be lifted, cleaned a bit, but not much. As long as you don't do big washes you can create some pretty designs on this paper. Of course there is a twist. You can see it in my photos and this is after I flattened them overnight. But it's not that bad or unbearable. Also, it doesn't matter that the paper is soft and it's really nice to write/draw on it with graphite. It could only be me. Global Art Materials is a good company. I use their Handbook Sketchbooks and they are great for ink and graphite and can even hold up to light washes. But I wanted something that dealt more with watercolor studies/sketches. I don't think you will be disappointed.
