I can say one thing, the phone holds tight. There is no fear that he will fall. What I don't like, and I'm not sure another headband would be better, is that it doesn't stay in place very well and is cumbersome for phone access. I didn't buy it so much for running as to wear around the house just to count steps but if you put it on your hand in a place where it's comfortable to use the phone without taking it out of the holder remove, it doesn't stay in place very well. I think if you run and put it high on your shoulder with no intention of using your phone while it's in an armband that would work fine, but if you just want to use it to keep your phone with you at all times to have. and still have easy access to the phone, it's not that good.
