So the purpose of a sleeping bag is to keep your baby warm without exposing you to the choking hazard of loose blankets. The neck opening is large enough to allow the front to rise slightly and cover the nose/mouth. This makes it no more secure than a blanket, defeating the whole purpose of a sleeping bag. My son is 8 months old on average. His head circumference is in the 77th percentile, so that doesn't mean he has an unusually small head. I'm not happy considering the price and how well it's handled. Well, that and the danger it poses to babies. I've added photos to show what I'm talking about. I will say it is warm, easy to put on and otherwise seems well made. I would recommend Grobag instead. The material is nicer, it's just as thick and warm, and the neck opening is small enough that with a week size 0-6 months he could wear and is still wearing. He's big for his age and still 0-6m long so he's persistent. Now in winter we mostly use it.
