The fabric around the forefoot is too flexible which sometimes causes the shoe to pivot on you when you get into toe hooks, turns etc. The outsole lasts a long time. for a while but it took forever to break because it has such sharp edges. I tried breaking them while bowling but couldn't feel my board and kept slipping until the sharp edges eventually rounded off and they broke. Overall I think this is a decent shoe. Definitely still durable, although the OG version fit better and needed a lot less break-in time to ride. The new soles are not as good as the old ones. A higher heel can also help prevent the shoe from spinning too much or coming off easily. You can make DC better! The OG Syntax and the Lynx are two of my favorite running shoes, but the reissues have changed to lower quality imitations. I'm still afraid to try new versions of Kalis. I bought some Ethnis to hold out until DC comes back into the game with good SKATE shoes, not just fashion.
