This is the second Baby Einstein item I bought as a gift for my new grandniece. (The first was a "belly-level" mirror for use in the cradle; the mirror is surrounded by high contrast and bright colors to aid in vision development. I've been told she loves it.) My great-niece isn't right now Quite 3 months old so the piano (estimated at 3+ months) is still a bit advanced for her in terms of pressing notes on the piano but she will grow with it. Now she likes animal sounds and recorded melodies. (I've personally seen her with this toy and she interacts with it.) I'm very happy with both of my Baby Einstein purchases.
