Review on 🔒 Hunter 99116 Accessory: 4" Universal Remote in White Finish - Convenient Control for All Hunter Ceiling Fans by Andrew Enriquez

Bought this locally for a lot less to replace the one that came with my 8 year old turn of the century fan. The instructions seemed a bit vague and confusing. Hunter had a 20 minute chime that turned out to be 2 1/2 hours and by then I had figured it out. They say to connect from the ceiling to black (ungrounded) and white (grounded) but that is incorrect and confusing, it should say "LIVE" (hot) and NEUTRAL. In any case, AC circuits can be a bit confusing. Gathered everything and couldn't dim the lights. Found on the net there must be a way to turn on the dimming feature. So while I was still waiting for a call from Hunter CS, I tried the procedure under Flickering CFL LIGHTS (although I have LEDs) on the second page of the instructions on the bottom left. Turns out, this is also a way to turn on the dimming feature! After that, the lights will flash twice, release the button and the fan will run slowly. Now you have full control. The unit works much better than my original and the flickering I previously had with my LED bulbs at lower light settings is gone. Eventually Hunter called while I was cleaning up and I reprimanded her for her vague instructions. (They agreed and said they would fix it... ;-))
