I bought this fan for my axolotl aquarium. It was a desperate purchase because one of my axolotls was starting to develop a cotton head (looks like cotton balls on the gills). I have found that this happens when the water in the aquarium is too warm. Once it arrived quickly thanks to the Prime, I immediately started seeing the temperature drop in my 20 gallon tank from 70.1 to 62.3 where it largely held. I never thought that maintaining the water temperature in the aquarium is such a task. The fan fits perfectly on the rim of my 20 liter Aqueon (first picture). We decided to put Lucy in another tank (10 gallon Aqueon) while she recovers and added a sheet of almonds (recommended for fungus control) but the fan doesn't fit the ledge (2nd photo). It's loose so I've tried using the screws provided but it won't hold to this aquarium model. I adjusted it to run at 10 gallons by letting it recline and supporting it with a filter to keep it from falling forward (3rd pic). I ordered a fan in case it was smaller but the same thing happened. However, it works and Lucy feels better in her colder water :))
