The original Lanterns game was pretty good. Short. Sweet. It's roll and write and I really like its mechanics. First off, you really need a marker, not a pencil or pen. Things are about to get a mess! Second, you must have something solid to write on because you have a lot to paint on. Now that I've given some tips, the game is really fun. It perfectly captures the theme of the board game and gives it extra depth and strategy. This new breed of board games is really popular and a fairly inexpensive way to give away lots of games in one cheap and small package. When coloring the "pools" you need to keep in mind the different goals. All in all, this is a good time.
