These cables are of exceptionally high quality. When checked with an ohmmeter before installation, it registered 28 ohms. The standard wires were from Delco and had a resistance of over 800 ohms. The Delco wires were 7 years old and misfiring on our 2007 LS-2 equipped Corvette (15,450 miles) both at idle and while driving. This is to be expected with OEM cables. MSD cables shipped straight out of the box are too rigid. I called MSD support and told them these wires should be about 1 inch longer. However, the tech told me that the MSD spark plug boot is designed for a 45 degree bend. I was amazed that this feature was built into the spark plug cap. I did what they instructed and this harness fitted perfectly and still tested @ 28 ohms. There were no printed instructions or directions on the packaging to inform me of this ability to bend the connector for a perfect fit. Master promised to fix it. Low resistance is created by wrapping the OEM-style carbon core with copper wire. They state that there are 30 to 40 feet of copper wire wrapped around the core for every foot of ignition wire. One would expect copper wire to interfere with radios and electronics, but the opposite is true. This type of wire is also known as magnetic suppression wire. There is a very weak electromagnetic field around these wires, and the copper windings have very low resistance. The Corvette started right up, idling was smooth again, and acceleration was noticeably crisp and strong. These wires should last much longer than 7 years or 15,000 miles - really good value and they are made in America!
