
Overall I really like this product but last week I found that my DS418play was not working. Upon further investigation, I found that the device was powered off. I tried restarting it and it wouldn't turn on at all. I then went through the process of checking that nothing was disconnected, all connections were tight. I can only say thank you for the 2 year warranty because I contacted Synology and within 8 hours of filing a support ticket I was approved for an "extended" PMA. In order not to send the old device back, I waited 30 hours for the replacement device to be sent runs smoothly and I don't lose any data. Overall I am satisfied with this product. I use it as Plex media server, mail server, web server and main network storage. This error was definitely uncomfortable.
