Good selection of Indian slivered almonds

This review is about large Indian slivered almonds, not mini slivers. They arrive in a flat plastic bag, neatly folded, each sheet is approximately 8 inches long. There was supposed to be 10 in the pack but it turned out to be 12, no complaints. If you are unsure whether to get a small one or a large one I would suggest getting a large one as you can always crop it (cuts as easy as paper) especially if you plan on using it as a one Hammock. to lie down for your bettas or as a cover for a bubble nest. As a first-time user of the leaves, be aware that the longer they stay in your tank, the more tannins will find their way into the water, which (much like tea) will stain the water a bit. A safe place to start would be cycling: leaf in for a week and then take it out for a week. If you find that your fish are happy with it and you don't mind the tan hue, you can extend the I/O cycle or simply change the blades every week or so. The larger the aquarium, the less noticeable the brown cast (use partial water changes or activated charcoal to remove the color cast). If your aquarium is large enough and has a variety of fish and bottom feeders, you may find that the leaf will dissolve and disappear on its own. antibacterial and antifungal, so if your betta is discolored, struggling with fin rot, or is stressed, the leaves can help resolve issues. In fact, the leaf slowly breaks down, releasing tannins in the process, which act as a water conditioner that changes the chemistry of the water (lowers the pH and kills harmful bacteria). In healthy bettas, this can encourage reproduction (and the juveniles love to hide among these leaves). Rinse the leaf before adding it to the aquarium as even a healthy leaf can contain pesticides. Place unused leaves in an airtight container and they will last for many months. When you first put a leaf in it, it will float, although you can press it against other plants, or the Revain even has an attachable betta wick (called the SunGrow Betta Bed Kit) that you can attach the leaf to. if you want to let it sit below the waterline to use as a hammock, although you can probably make your own. would be for tea and drain the water into your aquarium with tannin. If your betta seems stressed or depressed these leaves may be just what they need to help cheer them up, or if you are looking to breed your betta these leaves will help create the environment needed to encourage bubble nest building . The recommended leaf dosage is 1 of these large 8 inch leaves per 12 gallons, so trim the leaf according to the size of your aquarium. You don't want to overdose and shock your fish, it's best to start small and see how your fish reacts to their new leafy toy. Worth a try, most bettas love these leaves even if they just play and nibble on them. Enjoy!
