Review on πŸͺ‘ Unveiling the Janome 3160QOV Quilts of Valor Sewing Machine: A Quilter's Dream Companion by Alvin Siah ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

In general, I would call this machine capricious. You can work on it, and very successfully, BUT you constantly need to reconfigure for each product. You have to spend a lot of time just on this. What I think. It is suitable for those who sew from simple dense, even fabrics. As already mentioned above about underwear - it is almost impossible to sew it on this machine. Such things.

Pros
  • Comfortable pedal, responsive. Automatic hinges, convenient. The position of the needle changes. Horizontal hook, you can see the bobbin. In general, the control of the buttons is convenient in itself. Beautiful.
Cons
  • 1. For almost a year I have not figured out whether it is possible to raise the foot higher in order to put a thick layer of fabrics under it. 2. On capricious materials, it requires thorough tuning, and premium threads. For example, when sewing a cooler or mesh, available and popular threads (such as dortak) refuse to sew normally, constantly skipping. Just put Madeira or Guterman - it sews, as if there were no problems. 3. It was rather exclusively for me - one of the screws that screwed the plate under the foot was tightened so that while I was trying to unwind it (this is necessary to adjust the tension of the lower thread, or cleaning) tore the entire hat.
