Works well here at high altitude. 6800'. Just leave a window or vent open. Much better than the blue flame heater I had that stopped working. The only problem is with this heater. The firing button does not work to ignite the pilot. that's as good as noisy and hard to push. I just use a long matchstick. I could probably change the location of the fuze if I bothered. One great thing about this heater. You can just have a pilot flame to heat it up. sometimes that's all you need. And yes. They should have an elbow fitting to hook it up from below when sitting on their feet on the floor. Otherwise there is not enough space for the hose. I got mine for some rocks. takes care of this problem.
