Sponges expand well when wet and feel spongy and dense than RT Sponges. They are also very soft. They appear rougher when they hit the skin, but I would attribute that to the higher density. The Classic Beauty Blender has a more luxurious texture and greater porosity, but is softer on application. I paid $20 too much for a BB and was looking for an RT as an economical replacement, but was generally disappointed with their performance. I was really surprised at how well these sponges work for the price. Overall I would give The Beauty Blender 5, BEAKEY 4 and Real Techniques 3 in terms of performance. BUT - the low cost and high value of the BEAKEY sponges. earned them 5 stars.
