I bought these to replace the lightbulbs that came with my ceiling fan. The original bulbs were incandescent and only lasted about a year before dying. Although they worked great on my dimmer. These new bulbs go from very bright to very slightly dimmed at the lowest setting of the dimmer switch, nothing in between. At full brightness they crackle, crackle and flicker, so I have to keep them on the lowest setting on the dimmer. Today about 2 months after I bought them they suddenly popped loudly and suddenly went very dim so I flipped the switch to maximum brightness hoping they didn't start flickering like they did when I switched them on installed for the first time. Not yet. It's just very odd that these bulbs seem to be very inconsistent and not working properly on a dimmer.
