Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yup. It's a hammer!

From my perspective, you have 3 kinds of hammers - First, you have the professional grade that have some fancy German sounding brand-name and are engineered to be as amazing as a hammer can possibly be, given that, in the end, it's just a hammer. Then there's the middle-grade hammers that a "professional DIYer" would which are good quality and will last a lifetime. Lastly, there's the Harbor Freight variety that you can get for around 5 bucks. The kind that get the job done and will work for those little around-the-house projects, but you won't be remodeling your basement with it or anything like that. This hammer kind of falls into the upper end of that category. It's a decent hammer that you can rip out/drive nails, use to distress a butcher-block countertop, or just break something with it. The grip is kind of a hard rubber - nothing really "ergonomic" or grippy by any means but it still works well. The weight feels balanced just below the head and the feel is - well, it just feels like a hammer, really. I have no idea how much comparable hammers cost, so I can't say whether this is a great deal or not for what it is - but it is well built and haven't had any issues with it, thus far. Basically, it's a good hammer that'll work for exactly what you need it to do - hammer things.
