I've had a Sony DNF420 for almost a year with almost identical specs. I was very happy with it. I ended up gifting it to a relative (it's amazing how few people under 25 own their own CD player these days) and bought this model. I was surprised that Sony improved an already great product. The buttons are more comfortable and intuitive, the sound is better and the battery life (already amazing - more than 20 hours with a single AA) has increased. In addition, the radio has been improved - reception has improved on all bands. Sony has also included a remote control with this device. I didn't realize how handy it was but I use it all the time. The Walkman can stay in your jacket pocket, while the much lighter and more compact remote control stays in your hand. Perhaps CD players are a thing of the past as MP3 players replace them, so this Sony CD Walkman can be considered one of the pinnacles of personal CD player technology. personal CD players go the 8-track route. A few more years and units like this might be hard to come by.
