Looking for an individual headset? look elsewhere

After using a pair of Astro A50's for a few years I decided to upgrade and after looking at different headsets for my new PC I've heard great things about Sennheiser and decided to take it the trigger on the PC38x. When I received the headset I realized how spoiled I was with my previous headsets. This headset does not come with any headset customization software, so you can use the default soundstage that comes with it. That might be bearable for some, but personally I really didn't like it. Another gripe with this headset is the lack of voice feedback, meaning you can't hear yourself through the headset. Again, some might like this, but I found it very difficult to speak when talking to friends as I didn't realize how loud I was. Now for my biggest issue with this headset: surround sound. After hearing great reviews about Sennheiser, I thought this headset could work without an amp or other accessories, and I was wrong. The audio in this headset has very little surround sound, which leaves a lot to be desired for avid gamers. While the overall construction of the headset is fine, overall the overall sound quality of this headset was lackluster and I decided to upgrade to the Astro A50 Gen 4, which I'm much happier with.
