Description of 🎮 Open-Back Gaming Headset with Noise-Cancelling Microphone, Velour Earpads - Enhanced Comfort (Black)

THE NEXT EVOLUTION IN GAMING HEADSETS: An upgraded version of the crowd-favorite PC37X, our latest collaboration with Sennheiser is more comfortable, more detailed, and more stunning than the original. Featuring new drivers—the PC38X delivers higher fidelity and better frequency response. LOCATIONAL ACCURACY: A COMPETITIVE EDGE: To put it simply, the PC38X helps you hear enemies and sense your surroundings more clearly. Thanks to the angled drivers and open-back design, it offers better stereo imaging and locational accuracy. VENERABLE DRIVERS: The drivers come from the same family as the Sennheiser GSP 500 and 600—two of the highest-quality gaming headsets on the market. They offer better low-end extension than the original PC37X, so your games and music feel more lifelike than ever before. CLEAR AMBIANCE-FREE COMMUNICATION The noise-cancelling microphone is designed for high-volume low-distance recording and is optimized to handle unpleasant pops and hisses—great for gaming Skype calls and video chatting. INCREASED COMFORT: The headband has been updated with a new, breathable mesh-knit pad, keeping you cooler and better supported for long sessions.

Certainly the best in this price range!

I've had this headset for a few weeks now and have played many different genres of games and listened to all types of music with and without the GSX1000 DAC/amplifier. They do very well without the GSX1000, but I highly recommend pairing them with it for added functionality and personalization. I am very happy with this headset. The sound quality is fantastic, they are very light and the clip even fits my big head. It's a gaming headset, and it's great at it. The sound stage allows you to…

  • Newer model could have been chosen

I compare these headphones to Sennheiser 598SE open headphones and Sennheiser 598C closed headphones. I wanted to find a good pair of open-back headphones with a better mic (derived from a 598C cable) than the one built into my old 598SE that would allow me to sound underwater as long as I didn't hold the mic directly to my mouth. I have relatively large ears and can't stand over-ear headphones or over-ear headphones that are too small. Clamping Force: My first impression of the PC38X is that…

I love this headset. Comfort at its finest!

PC38X I've only had it a few days but since it came out I've been using it for EVERYTHING on my PC. The sound quality of the headphones is of course excellent. The open back is just what I needed. I want to be able to hear when someone in the house, a person or a pet, is trying to get my attention. I've never owned open-back headphones and it's amazing to be so immersed in the sound and still be able to hear what's going on in the room when needed. With this feature, I have this headset on my…

Perfect Xbox Headset

This is the perfect gaming headset for the X Series. Unfortunately, since Microsoft got rid of the optical port, gamers have been limited to the 3.5mm jack. While I wouldn't pick them as the perfect PC headset, they're probably the best you can get for an Xbox without messing around with HDMI splitters and the like (if you don't have an optical port on your TV, I use a monitor ). Much better than the typical Astros Turtle Beach gaming headset. They are super light and comfortable. The sound…

The microphone is barely audible

First of all, the headphones sound great. I've never owned open-back headphones and was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded without shutting out the outside world. However, the microphone is almost useless. I use these phones with both my home gaming console and my work laptop. The headset plugs into a USB adapter and then into a KVM switch, allowing me to easily switch between the two. If you SHOUT into the mic on one of the machines, it barely registers a 1% level. As a test, I…

Perfect picture for in-ear headphones

TO PLAY! This is a very high quality headset with amazing highs and mids. Bass is more than in game and on the 37x PC, but it still lacks the punch you want for music. For gaming, however, this headset is a beast. Especially with first person shooters you always know where your opponent is and in which direction he is going. Disclaimer: Connecting it to your motherboard and console will not increase the volume you want. Trust me, get a DAC/amp. I've paired it with the Mayflower arc 2 and it's…

Looking for an individual headset? look elsewhere

After using a pair of Astro A50's for a few years I decided to upgrade and after looking at different headsets for my new PC I've heard great things about Sennheiser and decided to take it the trigger on the PC38x. When I received the headset I realized how spoiled I was with my previous headsets. This headset does not come with any headset customization software, so you can use the default soundstage that comes with it. That might be bearable for some, but personally I really didn't like it…
