PC38X I've only had it a few days but since it came out I've been using it for EVERYTHING on my PC. The sound quality of the headphones is of course excellent. The open back is just what I needed. I want to be able to hear when someone in the house, a person or a pet, is trying to get my attention. I've never owned open-back headphones and it's amazing to be so immersed in the sound and still be able to hear what's going on in the room when needed. With this feature, I have this headset on my head pretty much every time I sit down at the computer, whether I'm watching YouTube, attending a large meeting, playing 2D, or even using virtual reality. After receiving this headset, I removed the headphones from my HP Reverb G2 VR headset and now wear the PC38X instead when gaming in VR. I've used them in VR in Beat Saber, Half Life: Alyx, and MSFS 2020. I didn't like the headphones that came with the G2, especially since they were set away from my ears and let me hear when someone was trying to get my attention. , but the immersion with the PC38X is much better. And the open back doesn't make me feel cut off from the real world. I can get a windscreen for the mic as when I hold it in front of my mouth it picks up sounds on certain sounds like "t" and "n" and also picks up breath from my nose. However, I've found that it picks up my voice well when I place it under my chin without obstructing air from my mouth or nose. The noise canceling in the microphone works when my beard rubs the microphone without any sound being transmitted into the meeting or played on the scale. I wish the mic would pick up the bass in my voice a little more, but it's very clear and should be appreciated by those trying to hear me in meetings or games. At first the clamping force on my head was too great. but it relaxed very quickly and now I wear the PC38X for hours without any discomfort. I use standard ear pads, they are comfortable and cool. As I said, I can wear them all the time while sitting at the computer or standing in virtual reality and not even noticing their presence (besides great sound). Please note that my PC has separate microphone and headphone jacks, so I can use a 3m cable to use the PC38X when working in VR (which is also plugged in). The included cable for those with a single headset jack is quite short and won't fit without an extension cord. The cables are a bit stiff and rough but I like that they feel stiff and I won't break anything if I step on them. So far I really like this headset. I'm very glad I invested in it.
