Review on 🥾 Lansing Steel Raven Waterproof Utility Boots by Dennis Brinson

When I first received these boots they were fantastic. They were just as comfortable to wear as my special hiking boots. But after about 4 or 5 months of daily wear, I noticed a bump on the sole just below my pinky toe on both shoes. Things only got worse until these boots became too uncomfortable to wear at around 6 months. This bump was gone when I bought it and when I replaced it it was about 1/4 inch. I contacted Keen direct and they replaced the boots with no problem at no cost to me so that's a big plus. .When I got the new shoes, I removed the insoles and compared the new shoes to the old ones. There are definitely no dents in the new boots. Then. As a curious idiot, I pulled out my medical scissors and cut open the old boots (see attached photos). It turns out that under the little finger there is a pocket filled with fine sand! I walk in the desert a lot (I'm a field geologist) and as I worked fine sand seeped through the mesh top, seeped down the side between the outer and the Gorex liner and filled this little pocket. under my toe. As soon as I shook out the sand, the insole became flat again. That's all. These are really good and comfortable work boots, but if you're going to be walking on sand for most of your workday, get a Keen model with a full leather upper instead of mesh. I would give them more stars in my rating if I could conditionally. These are amazing work boots, much more comfortable than the ones I've worn before, but after three months of hiking the sand dunes they were useless. However, I recommend them if you don't work in the sand and their customer service was outstanding!
