Review on ๐Ÿ”จ Dogyu Chisel Hammer, 10-inch, 58 oz, 300G by Eddie Fowler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good Japanese hammer, different weights, two types of clubs.

I like this hammer, it seems well made and fairly light. It's 300g, there are heavier ones, but I think it's a great starter hammer for setting a Japanese planer knife or hitting a chisel. The handle is pleasantly shaped, light and fits well in the hand. The hammer head has two different face shapes, one is flat and the other is slightly convex or slightly convex. The flat side is designed for driving nails, chisels and other common hammers. The convex side is used to easily drive nails into the wood and easily damage the wood when installing mortise and tenon joints. This temporarily compresses the wood, but later expands it and creates a tight bond.

Pros
  • Hammers
Cons
  • Crumpled
