Ordered to eliminate misfire in 1 cylinder on 3.5 Ecoboost. Only did it on hard acceleration over 75% throttle. After installation, the misfires did not go away. I decided it had to be the spark plug so I changed it but put the old coil back in place. There was still a misfire. I figured there must be something more going on, but decided to give another try a new coil with a new connector. The problem is gone. I'm not sure why both parts worked together if one of them didn't do anything. Well it's solid, so it's nothing. I'll do the other 5 coils and spark plugs once the old ones have 122,000 miles on them. At $70, that's fine, and the OEM is pretty reliable in this case. It would be nice if they were under $50 each so you can make them all for under $300, but I think aftermarket units will achieve this if you don't mind on quality to renounce. I personally want the best.
