This tool saved money. Bought 4 autelMy sensors. Didn't know I would need this programmer. The stores I visited refused to program these sensors. I was advised to buy their sensors for $180 each. Remember I have a 2017 GMC Canyon Diesel. Everywhere I went, I always wanted more money. It's disgusting to think that these prices are made up. Not only that . If I spent $180 on a tire it wouldn't be OEM sensors. It would be a third party aftermarket sensor. There is price gouging. So I found this tool. Most people understand that sensors need to be programmed after market entry. First I used ts408 to copy old sensors. if you do it yourself Do not let the workshop take away your old wheels/tires. The new tires were already on the truck for me. My old rims and tires were in the garage. So I drained all 4 tires to 10 pounds. Walked around the truck, scanned every sensor, programmed the bam. Next comes the process of retraining. However, there are several ways to do this. Since my truck is newer all I had to do was turn it on and tpms did the rest. Hope this helps. Copy old sensors with a scanner, scan new sensors either before or after installation, it doesn't matter. Be sure to label the wheels and sensors so you know where they are once installed. ts408 is a great tool. super easy. Note: The sensors go to sleep. Deflating tires to 10 pounds is highly recommended. Most people can't figure out how to get the sensor to read. Some people say wait 10 seconds or vent. When you mount new wheels and fat all-terrain tires. It won't be enough. The sensor programmed the second it reached 10 pounds in line. Hope that helps.
