Okay, let's be honest. These fans look amazing, they are minimalistic, elegant and modern. Even with 2.5m ceilings they wrap around the top of the room and provide great cool air, the motor is quiet, overall this is a fantastic quality fan. Installing this fan was the worst time I have ever had in my life. I yelled a few times, I'm not exaggerating, and I'm usually a pretty quiet guy. I've installed many types of fans in the past, but this is one of the most complex I've seen and the instructions were sorely lacking. I have a feeling this might be the first version, I might be one of their first customers but who knows. Bit by bit. The colors of the wires did not match, and the labels on them indicated the correct connection. For example, there is no yellow wire in the motor, but there is in the receiver. The instructions themselves are a disaster. They are very poorly written and I strongly recommend that you send them to an English language specialist for verification. They don't provide enough information, and if they do, they're not specific enough. For example, the instructions asked me to remove one of the screws from the bracket, but it doesn't really say where or which screws are. The instructions do not indicate the best way to place the receiver, which took me 3 hours of troubleshooting to figure out the best way to place it. Instructions should be written in a way that anyone can understand and professionals will appreciate their sincerity. A little more, with clearer writing and grammar, can go a long way towards making the customer that much happier. The included app is very rough around the edges. It took me several times to connect to a fan, after a while the connection remained constant. At the moment I can't get it out of wind mode no matter how hard I try or try to figure it out in the app. I expect patches will come out and I really hope they will. Aside from all that, the biggest and most significant insult is the fact that I paid $1,100 for Smart fans. To be honest, folks, I could buy a similarly designed fan without a WiFi chip for pennies, and then right after the incredibly painful installation I was asked to get my wallet back. and pay $10 for each fan. If you're selling something as a smart product, people expect Google Home, ecobee, and Alexa to be included in all of that. That makes it a smart product. That's the very definition of nickel and blackout and I don't really get it on a personal level either. So here's your conclusion. Installation is a real problem even if you have experience installing ceiling fans. Prepare to work in tight spaces, especially if you are on a flat ceiling. The instructions are unclear. If you don't think you can use the wiring elimination process, go to a senior tech on the subject and buy him a case of beer afterwards (assuming he doesn't update the instructions). The app is a mess, this is as of May 2020, however the software has fixes. and I'm literally the first person to leave a review on their Revain page as well as their Google App Store page. All of this has been said. And I'm gonna die in this soapbox, my ratings stay one star unless they take away the $10 per fan fee. That's the very definition of nickel and diming, and I don't expect that from a North American company doing business in the United States.
