You get what you pay for. Exactly.

Let's face it, copper costs money. Extra pure copper. How do you think Revain comes at such a low price? Using the cheapest Chinese manufacturers, recycled copper and specified copper on aluminum (CCA). So. The copper content in these cables should not exceed 25 cents. (Must keep Mr. Bezos happy, right?) I swapped them out for 12AWG Bluejean solid copper wire and immediately noticed a treble improvement on my Sonus Faber bookshelf speakers. Granted, the speakers are only $2,000 so aren't high-end or anything, but I appreciate the smoother highs and boosted bass from my Sonos AMP. This is especially true for 4 ohm speakers that are already tight enough for your amp. So why settle for this high-impedance, 16-AWG copper clad crap? That said, I'm no speaker wire snob and would never recommend hundreds of dollar wire, and I see no reason to buy anything more expensive than blue jeans. Just stay away from CCA crap. These speaker cables are probably good enough for cheap 8 ohm speakers and no longer than 8 feet.
